Q. Why do I need a SCORE card?

A. The SCORE card proves your qualifications and competencies for the work you do and shows you have the relevant H&S training and awareness. Most contractors now demand this formal accreditation. If you don’t have it, you might be denied access to a site.


Q. How do I register my staff with SCORE?

A. Ensure they fulfill the criteria set out on the APPLY / RENEW page  and either complete the relevant forms online or you can download them, complete and post or fax  them to us with the correct payment. If you have any queries, call us on 01786 448838.


Q. Some of my staff took a H&S test a while ago, do they need to re-sit it?

A. Providing your operatives have taken the H&S test within the last two years and can provide proof, simply complete the correct application form to obtain the card.


Q. How long do the cards last?

A. The cards are valid for 5 years.


Q. I’ve lost my card, what do I do?

A. You will need to pay for a replacement card (at a cost of £10). Follow the instructions on the APPLY / RENEW  page. If you have any questions, call us on 01786 448838.

Q. Can I update my skills when my card’s still valid?

A. Yes, you can get a replacement card (for £10) and include your additional competencies on the application form. Follow the instructions on the APPLY / RENEW page.


Q. Why do you need a photo?

A. As well as proving your skills, SCORE cards are used for photo identification and site access. We need to make sure that the person pictured on the card is the actual person who is skilled to do the job.
